What is Reiki? Pronounced "ray-key," the word itself is a phrase in the Japanese language to describe an experience and phenomena. One way to translate it would be "spiritually guided life-force energy."

Reiki is an ancient form of energy healing that uses hands-on touch, working with the body's energy field. I am a master-level teacher that is trained and attuned to this healing modality to promote balance and overall wellness for the mental, emotional, and physical state of the body. This concept is also known as energy medicine.

It is gentle and non-invasive, complementing to all forms of healing, and is beneficial to anyone by enhancing the body's innate ability to heal itself.

With numerous health benefits that vary individually, the results of Reiki are both motivating and inspirational.

People seek Reiki for a variety of reasons, including a reduction in stress, to calm emotional distress, alleviate pain, release traumatic imprints, address unsettling situations (near or far), assist the immune system, balance the body's energy field, strengthen spiritual connection, and more.

Reiki Sessions

Each session is unique. We will discuss your needs, and make sure that questions are answered as part of preparation before we get started.

Session time is just over one hour, which includes preparation, Reiki treatment, optional sound therapy, followed by a brief feedback discussion after treatment as observational insight (actual Reiki is about 50 minutes).

Enjoy diverse varieties of tea before Reiki - make your selection from a tea menu that includes 25 different varieties of loose-leaf teas, including white, green, oolong, black, puerh, rooibos, herbal and wellness recipes. Try something new - just ask!

Sessions are available on weekends by appointment. ($70)

Children, pets (or animal companions), and distance Reiki differ in structure and pricing.

These are 6 to 8 hour classes honoring the Usui Reiki lineage, which is the purest form. Students will learn the history, philosophy and tradition of Usui Reiki, suggested protocols, how to apply ethics, receive the opportunity to give Reiki using different methods of approach, including a practice client visitor.

Classes include the attunements necessary to enable Reiki to be performed on oneself and others within each level.

Students receive a manual to reflect on their learning for each class, as well as a signed certificate of completion for professional reference.

Reiki Level I will provide the essentials by introducing form and structure, as well as enabling Reiki to be performed on oneself and others. ($150)

Reiki Level II will deepen your experience by providing enhanced methods for application, working with ancient symbols, and learning how to transmit Reiki to distant locations. This class is also recommended prior to offering services professionally. ($200)

Classes are available by appointment and are also announced on the calendar.

Intuitive guidance offers the benefits of helping you see the bigger picture and to identify solutions to life's challenges, roadblocks, dreams, fears, and more.

As an empath and intuitive, my focus is to enable you to make the best decisions for yourself, with intuitive-guided insight. Sessions are personable, interactive, and inviting to every individual.

Sessions in person are available on weekends by appointment. ($45 for 30 minutes, and $1 per minute thereafter)

Telephone sessions available - intuition has no boundaries when distance is a factor. Consider an intuitive tarot reading over the telephone if you are in need.

Exploring Intuition (coming soon in 2012)

This will be a 4-part series, experiential workshop in a small group setting. The structure includes discussion and sharing, using tangible tools to explore and strengthen your intuitive guidance, then applying the concepts in light of intuitive development.

I will bring topics for discussion to the group for sharing thoughts, personal experiences, and techniques, then we will segue to divination tools. You will learn some basics of tarot, pendulum, and psychometry, exploring your personal connection with intuition. At the end of each workshop, we will pair up with a partner to experience giving an intuitive reading based on the focus for each session.

You will meet like-minded people, and benefit from the group dynamic and 1-on-1 feedback. Beginners to experienced are welcome. This series is based on the premise of Seattle's Intuitive Tarot Meetup.

Gallery 2 is a small sample of thematic portraits from my private collection. Initially, these photos were shown to select individuals over the course of 19 years from a personal archive. Although these images are not for sale, I hope you enjoy the stylistic approach of my artistic development as a progression over time.
